So you decided to take up slalom as your hobby, you got a pair of skates and a few cups. You tried a few moves and can still fair quite well. But how do you improve?
I will introduce you to some factors.
1. Equipments
Slalom unlike other skating discipline require a little more equipment than others, most of the time is because of the cones and the measurement require to be taken for the distance between the cones. So you will need:
Measuring tape (10 meter)
chalk
cones x 20
skate a pair.
Important note is that not all skate are suitable for slalom.
Below are some popular slalom skates.
SEBA HIGH
SEBA FR1
SEBA FR2

Simply find a place that can let you lay 20 cones and you can start, just make sure the ground is flat and it is legal to do so.

Hi, agree that we need good equipment to do slalom.
I am interested in it, but Seba skates is not available in Malaysia(I am Malaysian).
Can I know the more narrow price range of each Seba skates you listed?
vhanded - you probably dont need aa pair of sebas to start with. any skate with a decently short frame and good support will do. a SEBA is not going to magically make you a pro. having said that. if you're looking for a SEBA, try contacting skateline in KL or Penang. They may be able to get a pair back from Singapore for you. tell them CJ sent you and explain to them you're interested in Slalom.
can u slalom with aggressive sk8s ?
what's their aprroximate price ranges? i wanna go urban with them.. and also slalom a bit too. i have a pair of aggressives and are obviously not suitable for urban.
